Existing and recently completed Tasks are summarized under the “Site Summary” section of the Site Dashboard. New Tasks may either be created within an inspection form or ad-hoc. In the following product guide, we will review how to easily create each kind of task on Mapistry.
How to Create an Ad Hoc Task
- First, click on the top right three dots within the Tasks widget.
- Now click on the “Add a Task” option as shown below.
- Fill out the task details on the left side. Ensure all required fields are completed. Tip: Use the Attachments option to add helpful photos, short videos, excel sheets, PDFs, or other files!
4. If you would like to create subtasks within your main task, simply click on the ”Add a subtask” option on the right of the screen.
5. If you decide to add one or more sub-tasks, another section will appear on the right where you can add sub-tasks details. Once you have completed all the required sections, you can submit your task by clicking on “Create Task”.
How to Create a Task within an Inspection Form
- First, navigate to any inspection form within your “Site Summary” section. In this case, we will use the frequent SPCC inspection:
- Underneath the tank inspection questions, you will find a “Tasks” section. Click on the “Add a Task” button as shown below to begin a new task:
- Fill out the task details on the left side. Ensure all required fields are completed. Tip: Use the Attachments option to add helpful photos, short videos, excel sheets, PDFs, or other files!
- If you would like to create subtasks within your main task, simply click on the ”Add a subtask” option on the right of the screen.
- If you decide to add one or more sub-tasks, another section will appear on the right where you can add sub-tasks details. Once you have completed all the required sections, you can submit your task by clicking on “Create Task”.
